Action e-lert: Speak up Wednesday for a safer Route 9 crossing [5/11/15]

If you've ever tried to walk or bike across Route 9 between the Jamaica Way and Riverway along the Emerald Necklace, you know it can be scary and unsafe. On Wednesday, you'll have an opportunity to change that.

Please join us at a public meeting where the Town of Brookline will share its latest design for the Route 9 intersection at Village Square.

Gateway East Public Information Meeting
Wednesday, May 13, 7:00 to 9:00PM
@ Brookline Town Hall
6th Fl, Selectmen's Hearing Room
333 Washington Street, Brookline

We hope to see signal improvements to make it easier and safer to cross Route 9 and a separated bike lane to make the intersection better for everyone. If we don't see these critical design elements, we'll need you to speak up!

This project is an important piece of LivableStreets' larger vision of a seamless network of greenway corridors across the urban core to create a 21st century urban recreation and transportation system that is safe and convenient for all.
