Public Meeting for West Concord Bruce Freeman Rail Trail

The Concord Bruce Freeman Rail Trail (BFRT) Advisory Committee will hold a Public Meeting to present information about alternatives for routing the BFRT through West Concord Center.

GPI, the consulting firm, has prepared a report, "MBTA Commuter Rail Crossing Alternatives Analysis," which is available at both libraries and the Department of Planning and Land Management. Although 12 options were considered, three of them will be presented in depth: walking bikes on Commonwealth Avenue, widening the sidewalk at Commonwealth Avenue, and creating a spur past the Harvey Wheeler Community Building to connect with Main Street. (Maps will be available to show each of these three options.) Don't miss this opportunity to participate in this important decision. Non-residents are also welcome to attend.
