MPO Long Range Transportation Plan

Boston MPO is beginning the development of the new Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) for the Greater Boston region out to the year 2035. The process is beginning now, and will be completed next April 2011. The first meeting for  the LRTP initiative will on:

The MPO will begin discussing the vision and policies that will ultimately guide the specific projects and programs (public transit, roadway, and walk/bike etc.) that will be included in this Plan and supported with our federal (80%) and state (20%) transportation funding.

While the previous Plan took steps toward advancing sustainability and smart growth, it is our hope that this new Plan will go even further.
